How do I finance my custom home build?

We work directly with preferred loan officers who will be happy to walk you through the loan process and assist you in securing financing for your new home.

How much does it cost to build a custom home?

Every custom home project is unique, with design, materials and labor costs. Other costs that must be factored are price of the lot, off-site and on-site utilities, driveways, etc. At our first initial meeting, we will go over your budget and help you determine the “must haves” for your custom home.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

Most custom home builds are completed within 8-12 months. Size, design, location, and site conditions can majorly affect your custom home build timeline. Very large, complex homes can usually be built within a year and a half. Weather events can impact the overall construction timeline of your project.

Where does Alto Custom Builders build?

We build homes in Ellis, Dallas, Kaufman and Johnson Counties.

Do I need house plans before starting the process?

If you have already selected your dream home floor plan, we can use them. However, if you need assistance we also offer full architectural design services from concept to completion. We will walk you through the entire design process to ensure that it meets your budget and family’s needs and wants.

How will we communicate throughout the process?

We use BuilderTrend, a construction management software communication tool. All scheduling, budgeting and project management information will be visible to you for full transparency and easy communication.

wHAT TYPE OF WARRANTY DO YOU OFFER?

Yes, our New Home Warranty Coverage is:

  • One year workmanship and materials

  • Two years for mechanical systems

  • Ten years structural coverage

What if we decide to change something during the construction process?

If you decide to change something during the construction process, we are more than happy to accommodate your request. You will be able to sit down with your project manager and discuss your additional wants and needs. We will review your changes and present you with a fixed price for you to approve. Upon your approval, we will then move forward with any changes.

What if I do not own land yet?

If you do not already own your land, Alto Custom Builders will happily assist you in finding an available lot to build your dream home on.
